These booties are perfect, they fit great and keep my little ones feet toasty warm. I slip them on over their shoes, easy on, easy off. Plus, they are machine washable!! I have received lots of comments on them and I recommend them to every one I know. However, I feel they are ideally suited for on the go, in and out of the cold weather. I don't think they should be used by walking children for extended play outside in really cold weather (we live in Vermont; it can get really cold here). My son is "off the charts" for height so I was worried about ordering the infant size but there is plenty of room for growth, he is 6 months old at 29". I love how they can be tightened in two ways, one with the elastic strap just below the ankle and one with a velcro strap a bit further up to stop snow and rain in. I also love how they can be worn under and over pants, perfect. They look just like the photo, which I hoped they would. He is 7mos old and when they came to visit us for Christmas we had them for him to wear with his snowsuit....so that we could take him out and let him experience the snow. From the looks of them he will be albe to wear them a few more times probably even next year. We were unable to find anything that even resembled them here where we live in Illinois.
