I went skiing for the first time so I didnt want to invest in expensive gear. These seemed nice becuase they are waterproof and they tighten around the wrist. When I first put them on they were warm enough. But after about two hours my hands were freezing. They also tore before my first day skiing was done...so turns out I had frozen and wet hands. So I was forced to buy an $80 pair at the resort we were at (which also had a pocket for hand warmers which I highly recommend).
All in all I say spend a little bit more before you head out and save your hands and your wallet in the long run.

I loved these gloves when I first got them as a Christmas present for myself. It's now February and the gloves are starting to tear at the seams. I wish I still had the receipt to send them back but I can't find it anywhere. The gloves are extremely warm and I get compliments on them all the time. Just wish they wouldn't rip.

1.0 out of 5 stars Torn on the first use, January 30, 2010

I bought a pair for a ski trip over Christmas. Both gloves were torn within three days after light use. Snow got in from the broken seams during the day. The next morning the inside of the glove would be wet making it impossible to wear. It's a shame that these great-looking gloves don't last. I bought the black with the gray trim.
